Black Garden
Book
Thomas de Waal's book has become the reference work for the discussion around the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict. It provides an extensive look into the conflict from the 1980s up to the early 2000s and is based on more than 120 original interviews.
Documentary Series
"Parts of a Circle" offers a detailed look into the complex and long history of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict through its three part documentary series and summary film. It covers the events from the 1990s until 2016 and includes archive footage and interviews conducted throughout this period.

Journal
Caucasus Edition has long been a trusted resource covering extensively about events in the South Caucasus and Turkey with an emphasis on incorporating different perspectives. They feature a variety of formats, such as analyses, stories, Op-Eds and webinars. The journal also includes contributions by some of our members.
Dialogue Through Film
Short films
Dialogue Through Film was a unique initiative that brought together young Armenians from Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijanis to make short films about the conflict and war. Over 30 young film-makers took part, and although it seems now a bit out-dated, it's still a very enriching project to understand other dimensions of the conflict.

Dolma Diaries
Film Series
This film series was created by social activists and TV writers from the South Caucasus and Germany in cooperation with the "Friedrich Ebert Stiftung". It sheds a light on both the cultural differences and similarities between Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia in a humoristic way.

Story Telling Platform
Chai Khana is an award-winning alternative multimedia, visually-driven storytelling platform. It covers untold human stories and connects people across the region to reveal the lives of ordinary people in the South Caucasus. Its goal is to shed light on different perspectives, challenge linear narratives, and work for the alternative, original voices that tell stories which are usually ignored.
SEEfest
Film Festival
South East European Film Festival educates about and promotes cultural diversity of South East Europe through its annual presentations of films from this region and year-round screenings and programs. SEEfest organizes conferences and retrospectives, serves as the cultural hub and resource for scholars and filmmakers, and creates opportunities for cultural exchange between Southern California and South East Europe.
